Summary: Makes playdoh so much more fun
Comment: I bought one last year for my 5 year old. He and all the neighborhood kids really like it. In fact, when this product when on sale just before Christmas I bought 4 more sets and that is what the neighbor kids are getting for their birthdays.
This is the play-doh set for me. I can't stand it when I get new play-doh and instantly the kids mix the colors together making this rainbow-brown color. So, I make the kids play with one color at a time. That isn't always super fun. But with this set the fun is not dependent on mixing the colors because what the kids mainly use the play-doh for is making a body for their 'Mr. Potatoe head'. A kid can make a ball, or a lump - depending on the age of the child- and then decorate it with eyes, nose, hair etc. We've had older kids (up to 9) play with kids 3 years old and it is something they can all do together. They name their little people, we take pictures. They find it to be really creative.

Summary: A little bit tricky but fun
Comment: I bougth this toy for my 3 year old cousin. I loved it right away but as he started playing, we learned it was tricky to get the play dough out of some of the parts which frustrated him. This also led to the different colors mixing which in his 3 year old word is a "no, no". All in all, he had a good time with it and once he plays with it a little more, maybe he will learn tricks to get the play dough out of the tough spaces.

Summary: our most fun playdoh set! fun for 18mos-6yrs+!
Comment: this set is great because it doesn't take much skill to make cool things. in the past mom and dad have had to help our 2 or 3 yo with the playdoh sets we have had. this set can be used by an 18 month old, or fun for a 5-6 year old too!(ok, or mom can have fun too.) all you need to do is stick the eyes or arms or whatever into the dough. i'm glad i bought another for a gift. this is a fun set for anyone to have for their playdoh box.

Comment: I bought this set for my [...] daughter. She loves it! In fact, both my [...] have spent endless hours playing with it. The "plunger" is their favorite. I saw other reviews where they complained that the plunger was hard to operate, but we haven't had any problems - both my [...] can operate it on their own.

Comment: OK- so as another reviewer pointed out, I agree that the plunger thing is hard to operate. We just don't use it. The main fun here is to push these funny body parts into a ball of playdoh. Very much like a squishy Mr.Potato Head. It was a gift, we enjoy it. I think it is worth a purchase. Just forget about the plunger.
