PLANTOYS has been making quality baby and children's toys from their ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 & SA 8000 certified offices in Thailand since 1981. PLANTOYS uses chemical-free rubber wood to produce their toys. The trees they use are Rubberwood Trees (Hevea Brasiliensis). PLANTOYS recovers the wood from aging rubber trees grown by Thai farmers primarily for latex. After 25 years, the trees no longer provide latex and the farmers need to fell them in order to replenish. Previously, those trees were burned and turned into charcoal providing little subsequent value both economically and ecologically. Plan Toys increases the value of these trees by using them to produce their beautiful line of quality wooden toys. All paints are non-toxic, the glue used is latex-based, and all corners are rounded for safety. All packaging materials are recyclable and do not contain PVC.

Customer Rating: Summary: Looks good but not so great Comment: This drum was bought for my 2.5 year old son last year. We still have it and the problems are still the same. The pieces fall off and he can't put them on without my help. They are easy to put back on but he gets very frustrated when he is trying to play it and something falls off. Then he has to find me to fix it. By then he has lost interest. The fact that the toy is made from recycled wood is really cool. But I think if I had to do it over I would have gone with a plastic drum set that stayed together. Customer Rating: Summary: One of the best toys we own Comment: We got this for christmas for our 19mth old son. We have a lot of musical instruments and use them every day. This is one of the best toys we own, it is extremely durable, senisble and a ton of fun to play. My son goes crazy on the drums then throws the sticks like he's a rockstar. It's incredible. Some reviews complained that it is flimsy and comes apart all of the time. This is somewhat true, the way the pieces are put together is with elastic string (with a ball stopper on the end) and a thin slot that it slides into. Which to me; a mother of an extremely active child is VERY tahnkful for! It comes apart easy and goes back together easy with this method. It is fun for my son to figure out how to do this and how to play with it. It has many functions! This is a must have in my book, i've been wanting it for a year and glad we have it now! Thanks Plan Toys for another great wooden high quality toy!
