Comment: A while ago I sent this as a gift for a tween. They live in another state, so I never did get to see the finished results. However, the family reported to me that Alex Knot a Quilt inspired hours of creative play and the effort was very well worth it because the results are beautiful.
The components are good quality, and the kit actually produces a beautiful, useful object.

Comment: I am a preschool director and we used this product with fabric markers to create a quilt for our school's annual fundraiser. Each child decorated two squares and our room mothers helped tie it together. It turned out beautifully!

Summary: What a super project!!
Comment: We gave this kit to our 9-year-old daughter for Christmas this year and she has been so busy with it ever since. She is very proud of how well her blanket is turning out and is almost finished. Its simple to make, but not so simple that an older girl or boy would not be proud of the finished product. Fabric is wonderfully soft, colorful and easy to tie. Our daughter will have a high quality finished product and keepsake she'll cherish forever.

Summary: Perfect for long trips
Comment: My 7 year old daughter spent several hours knotting the pieces of this quilt together on a 9 hour road trip. Everytime she put it down she would pick it back up and say, "one more." She didn't exactly make a quilt, she knottted a "purse" and a "hood" (mistakes turned useful) but she enjoyed it very much. If she'd had an adult's guidance making a quilt wouldn't have been a problem. This was a fantastic change from the constant DVD viewing that typically takes place on such long trips. I definitely recomend this craft.
