Squawkers McCaw the parrot is a talking, squawking and totally unpredictable play pal. Its got plenty to say and plenty of attitudes. Startlingly realistic, this plush-plumed "animatronics" parrot acts up, speaks up and gets down with more than 45 words, phrases and sound effects, including his signature "Squawk, Squawk, Squawk" song and dance. It'll dance to your tunes, too. By teaching additional words and phrases, you can even "train" Squawkers to talk back to you, just like a real parrot. Be sure you have its cracker on hand when he gets hungry otherwise you'll hear about it. This Squawker comes with toy cracker, remote control, perch and instructions. It requires four AA batteries, which are included; remote control requires two AAA batteries, which are also included. It measures 12" tall.

Comment: My Son and Daughter love Squawkers the McCaw. It is very realistic and the size of a full size McCaw. He responds to the touch when you pet him or give him a kiss. He has his own personality and moves like a real parrot. He can stand on his perch or on the floor with his lifelike feet. It comes with a remote control and a toy cracker. If you put the cracker in his mouth he will pretend to eat it. This parrot does a lot of different so it's not repeating the same stuff over and over. If you play music he will dance too it, and it's pretty funny. He will answer a handful of select questions and he will also repeat what you say in a higher pitch voice. Our kids love having it repeat them, they play with it for hours sometimes. This is definitely a toy that most kids will love and play with a lot. Without a doubt I give Squawkers five stars. There is no other toy like him.

Summary: Favorite Christmas present this year
Comment: My 7yr old daughter loves this parrot. She has not put it down since she opened it. He looks very lifelike. Definately better than the repeat parrot I had as a kid. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend the product. Batteries ran down quick, but as I said, she didn't put it down all day, otherwise a great buy!

Comment: Any grandparent or parent can not go wrong with this item. My grandaughter loved it. You can tap on the head and it will go to sleep, wake it and program it to say things. A great toy for the entire family.

Summary: Bird awesome-price not so much
Comment: We just love the multi functionality of this bird. When we 1st saw it on Amazon they were selling it for $86. Picked it up when it went down to $60 plus s&h-thought we got a great deal til I saw it at Target on sale for [...]. My heart sank down to my feet. Excellent for all ages if you can find it at the right price.

Summary: Squawkers is a great robotic pet
Comment: I own a Squawkers McCaw. He is a great companion and he has a good vocabulary. If you feel that a pet is a bit too much trouble, adopt a Squawkers McCaw. He acts exactly like a real bird and he doesn't take your salary away with buying food and bedding. He comes with his own food that can be used over and over. It is a rubber cracker. All the buttons on the remote control have a different reaction on Squawkers. For example, if you push C he will laugh hysterically. I recommend Squawkers as a pet that isn't a pet.
